If your loved one has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and/or less than six months to live if the disease follows its usual course, he or she is likely a candidate for hospice care. All that’s needed is documentation from a physician, indicating the patient’s condition is unlikely to be cured.

 

We know that hospice can be an unpleasant topic and even have a stigma attached to it, but we encourage people to look into it as soon as possible. During the later stages of illness, we believe a person should be able to spend his or her time and energy on the things that matter most to that individual, and not revolve around the illness.
